Global Fund Programmes

In 2015, the AIDS Foundation of South Africa (AFSA) was selected by the South African Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) to serve as a Principal Recipient (PR) for the South African Global Fund Grant for the period 1st April 2016 to 31st March 2019. AFSA has since been reappointed the PR for grant in the periods of April 2019 to 31st March 2022 and 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2025.

In the first grant cycle AFSA was contracted by the Global Fund and assigned responsibility for managing the following components of the grant:
