Responsibilities:: Managing research and documentation processes particularly designing and conceptualizing research projects on critical issues pertaining to HIV and AIDS; developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks in conjunction with other AFSA Departments; documenting, editing and publishing reports and position papers; and liaising with other CBOs and donors to increase AFSA’s contributions in the field.

Previous Employment: Lecturer in Practical Theology and Dean of Postgraduate Studies for two colleges affiliated with Northwest University in Cape Town, training and mentoring of facilitators on HIV and AIDS for CABSA, research on HIV and AIDS as it inter-relates to poverty and the ensuing community responses. Published researcher in peer reviewed journals on Community and Congregational systemic issues with doctoral dissertation published as - HIV/AIDS, Poverty and Pastoral Care and Counselling: A home-based and congregational systems ministerial approach in Africa (Stellenbosch: Sun Media, 2007).

School, Degrees or areas studied: PhD (Humanities), BPhil (Community Development), MTh (US); BA (NWU), LTh (BISA), DipTR (IPMZ), DipEd (UZ). Doctoral dissertation title: Life beyond infection: Home-based care to people with HIV-positive status within a context of poverty.

Hobbies: Jogging and debating current issues.
