Capacity Building Interventions incorporate the following minimum activities for all beneficiary Community Based Organisatiosns (CBOs) each year:

• One 4-day skills building workshop
• One 3-day learning & sharing conference
• One 2-day leadership challenge workshop, and onsite training or organisational development intervention when necessary.

The following subjects will be included in the capacity building workshops during the new financial year:

• Outcomes-based planning
• Child bereavement counselling and play therapy
• Home-based care training & treatment literacy updates
• Accessing social security grants
• Advocacy & lobbying for the basic income grant

Site Visits

The Foundation's Project Officers conduct site visits to each beneficiary CBO on a quarterly basis for the purposes of monitoring & mentoring.

Reporting

Beneficiary organisations are required to submit quarterly reports according to a specific reporting template.

Monitoring and Evaluation

The Foundation has developed its own monitoring protocol, incorporating the work plans and budgets of the different CBOs, which is part of a computerised management system. The efficacy of the overall intervention is measured against the intervention indicators and a final external evaluation report.
